Journey up the Nile with us on our excursion adventure.
Cruise to the most famous sites dotting the Nile valley from Luxor to Aswan, as well as selected exquisite "off the beaten path" areas, most of which are strictly off limits to the general public. Join us on this exciting spiritual, educational, and exclusive "backstage" tour of Egypt's heartland. (Full meals aboard cruise.) One special day at the Abydos and Dendera temple ruins. Abydos temple base-reliefMorning departure by motor coach in private convoy to Abydos and Dendera, cradle of the oldest dynasties and holy city dedicated to the cult of Osiris. Arrive late morning at the site; box lunch. Abydos was as a pilgrimage site that ancient Egyptians had to visit at least once in their lifetimes; today we make ours. We have the entire afternoon for a long and thorough visit to the various temples to the deities, some of the most well-preserved in all of Egypt. The highlight of our visit will be the mysterious Osireion, built with gigantic megalithic stones not found anywhere else in Egypt. On one of the pillars in the temple we will see the ancient symbol of the Flower of Life. Day 6 - breakfastArrive in Luxor in the morning. Check in to St. George Senestra Hotel. After lunch we visit the Luxor Museum. Early dinner. Don't miss the Karnak Sound and Light Show! |
Day 7 - breakfastAll day adventure. Early morning caravan to the temples of Abydos and the temples of Dendera. Order a box lunch from the hotel for the day adventure. Dendera

Day 8We embark upon our luxury cruise liner, home for the next four days. After an early lunch we visit the temples of Karnak and Luxor, followed by the sacred shrine of Sekhmet, normally off limits to the public. After dinner you can experience the Sound and Light Show at the Temple of Luxor or stay on board with the choice of quiet time in your cabin or night life on the ship. |

Day 9Morning visit to the West Bank and selected sites in the Valleys of the Kings, Queens, and Nobles, and the Colossi of Memnon. Explore King Tuts tomb, where the gold and rich artifacts seen in the Egyptian Museum were discovered. After lunch we begin cruising up the Nile. Enjoy Egyptian sightseeing and a magnificent sunset from the deck. Tonight after dinner: Galabeya (traditional Egyptian dress) party and dancing in the nightclub, moonlight swimming in the above deck pool, or quiet time in your cabin.

Day 10We travel in horse-drawn chariots (carriages) to the temple of Edfu, one of the oldest and best preserved temples in all of Egypt, dedicated to the falcon god, Horus. This afternoon we cruise further south to the temple of Kom Ombo, a dual temple dedicated to both Horus and the crocodile god, Sobek. Evening night life on board ship or relax in your cabin.

Day 11 - breakfastArrive in Aswan. We disembark the cruise ship and check in at the Old Cataract Hotel, which features breathtaking views of the Nile and Elephantine Island. Visit the Aswan Quarry, source of the massive granite blocks used in the construction of the Kings Chamber in the Great Pyramid. We then travel by boat to the beautiful island temple of Philae, sacred to the Divine Mother Isis. Time to wander, lunch and dinner on your own, then a private sunset Felucca sail around the island of Elephantine.

Day 12 - breakfastMorning Bus to the temple of Abu Simbel. Visit the temple of Abu Simbel. Afternoon flight from Aswan to Cairo and spend the night at one of the deluxe Hotels near the airport. Bring a box lunch from the hotel for the day at Abu Simbel.
Day 13 - Breakfast onlyWe wish you a safe journey home and fond memories of a once in a lifetime trip! We can go back to Gouda's at the pyramids for a last horse ride and pyramid sound and light show. Day 14 Early morning transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departures.
